Celtic Speed for Daytona Classic

Celtic Speed is set to tackle the Daytona 24 hour Classic next month with their Leyton House Porsche 962 Group C racecar.

In 1966 the legendary "24 Hours of Daytona" was born. There are not many racetracks that host 24 Hour races.
Only one remains unchanged: DAYTONA.

This is a Classic 24 hour race dedicated to cars that have raced in the Daytona endurance races of the past.
High speed, high banks and a long night with 6 period correct race groups competing on a rotating schedule. Open to all significant sports cars from 1961-2010.

The Celtic Speed car will run in the Group C category for cars from the period from 1983 to 1993. The ex Kremer Racing 962 will be driven by Tommy Dreelan and Aaron Scott.

The event takes place from November 12th to 16th; there will be 4, 1-hour races during the 24 hour period for each category. There are a number of notable drivers competing in the event including former winners of the 24 hour Andy Wallace, Pat Long and Hurley Haywood.

Aaron said, “This should be a spectacular event and I am really looking forward to racing at Daytona for the first time along with Tommy. These events are always fun but we will be trying to get the best result we can!”
