At the Le Mans 24 hour race the Group C cars were privileged to be invited to join the event as a supporting race where they raced in front of the enormous crowd on race morning in a 40 minute race.

Celtic Speed opted to take both the Porsche 962 C1 car for Tommy Dreelan and the Spice C2 car for Aaron Scott. The Spice has a strong history at Le Mans having raced there an incredible 5 times in period taking the C2 win and 5th overall in 1987.

For Tommy it was his 2nd time racing at Le Mans and for Aaron it was his first time.

Aaron qualified and finished 2nd in the C2 class while Tommy qualified 9th in C1 and finished 7th after a great run in the race.

It was a great race to be a part of for everyone in the team and the Group C cars proved to be a hit with the fans at the track and many drivers and the teams in the 24 hour event. In fact Le Mans legend Derek Bell even took part in the Group C qualifying although he wasn’t unable to race as the car he was driving suffered a technical problem!!
