Clear Outlook For Croft!

Porsche Carrera Cup  Rounds 9/10 - Croft Circuit

When the schedule for this year’s Porsche Carrera Cup came out, there were two dates I looked out for!

The first was always going to be my home round at Knockhill - the best chance for family, friends and sponsors to come to see me in action. But the second was Croft. It was a pretty special weekend for me last year. I had two wins and really and announced myself on the Porsche Carrera Cup stage.

That was the performance which gave me the belief that I could compete at the front of the pack, and convinced Celtic Speed that we were a front-running team.

We built on that success and ended the season in a very strong frame of mind. This year has not started as well as we would have liked, but I really feel we turned a corner at the last round at Oulton Park. Our expectations are most definitely lower leading in to this years Croft contest but podiums are of course our goal.

The North Yorkshire circuit is a real seat of the pants challenge with a theme of extremely bumpy high speed corners. I really enjoy the buzz heading through the Jim Clark Esses almost but not quite flat out as the car drifts at 145mph!

Myself and the CEltic Speed boys are really excited about what Croft will bring. Hopefully, by Sunday evening, I will have some more excellent memories.

You can catch live television coverage of race 2, which is broadcast on ITV4 at 13.20 this Sunday afternoon and TSL Timing will be providing lap times and results as they happen. Click the link below and scroll to the bottom of the screen where you will find the live timing feature;
