It's showdown time at Brands Hatch as the Porsche Carrera Cup GB comes to a close in Kent and there is plenty to play for.

Brands Hatch GP circuit is one of my favourite tracks – after Knockhill of course!! It's loads of fun to drive as it has a great flow to it.There are some low-speed corners on the first section of the track then you go out on the GP loop and it steps up a level. There are some really quick corners with undulations and positive cambers on the entry to give you more grip and the blind dips and crests really hinder your vision. It requires mega commitment and bravery to put together that perfect lap in qualifying so I may close my eyes for some of it!
In some ways the pressure is off me and the Celtic Speed team. We can’t finish any lower than fifth in the championship which is a phenomenal achievement in our debut season at pro level – especially when you think we only found out about the move up from ProAm1 at the last minute. But I believe it has been the making of us. We have really stepped up on a number of levels and I know the car I get every weekend is capable of getting podiums and challenging for wins.
We have improved on last year’s performance at virtually every circuit. We have bounced back from technical problems, accidents and driving penalties and we could have let our heads drop, but we didn't and that attitude has helped us to fifth in the title race as we head down south one last time.
We could be forgiven for thinking the job is done. But that is not the way we think and not the way that Celtic Speed works, we always want better. It will be very tough but we can still achieve second overall with third place being a more realistic target. That is what we want from this weekend.
That would be an ideal reward for all the sponsors who have done such a great job and I know we would not be in this battle without their support. I really feel grateful to everyone who has made this possible and I am confident that I can give them something to smile about on Sunday night.
